KANSAS PTA LIFE achievement award

Are you honoring someone special with the Lifetime Membership Award?

The Kansas PTA Life Achievement Award may be conferred on a deserving person for distinguished service to or on behalf of children and youth. Any parent-teacher division, (local unit, council, or district) or an individual PTA member may honor individuals in this significant way. The recipient need not be a member of a PTA. The presentation is a special occasion and may be made at any time. It is especially appropriate to make the presentation a highlight of PTA Founders Day program, the closing meeting of the PTA year, a district meeting or at the annual state convention.

When you present a Life Achievement Award, you honor someone who has made a significant contribution to the welfare of children and youth. You also invest in the lives of numerous young people across the state who borrow from these funds to help pay for their education beyond the high school level. Funds received from Life Achievement Awards go into the Kansas Future-Teacher Scholarship Fund established by the Kansas Congress of Parents and Teachers in 1929 and the Teacher-Graduate Study in Education Fund.
